All the while when growing up as a kid, the police were taught to be my friend, my life preserver in the waters of an Atlantic hurricane……
I was brought up to respect and admire ANYONE in the position of authority. They deserved it
!!!

Although my parents meant well in this teaching, they had no idea of the times I would find myself an adult in. Just tonight on the news is a story on how the local police departments “speeding violations” equal monetary investment in their coffers. In a time of crisis where hard working Americans are struggling to keep a roof over their kids and families head, isn’t it nice to know that the local police department, which is sworn to “serve and protect” are out there nailing us with traffic fines, when drug dealers, rapists, thiefs, and murderers are running about??

Lets face it, those of us who will admit it, (and many more who won’t) have had our fair share of underage drinking, speeding and some of us drug use. If the police agencies of America REALLY want to “serve and protect” then go after the hardened crinimal. The drug PUSHER, not the user, the PERSON who decides to drive when they know they should not, the thief, rapist, murderer!!! Quit picking on the common man who truly would never commit such terrible acts, and get down to PROTECTING AND SERVING THE COMMUNITY—-NOT YOURSELFS!!!!
